ALL ABOUT GROUT / restoration options

By far the most common grout in peoples homes is sanded or un-sanded portland cement-based grout.  This is almost always what is used because it is very common, inexpensive and easy to apply.

But in the real world, years and even months later the grout gets shaded and dirty to varying degrees and eventually gets to the point where it can no longer be kept clean no matter what you throw at it.  Some people end up feeling like a slave to their tile floors because of this.

If your grout is falling out or cracking, 9 out of 10 times it is because there are loose areas on the tile installation itself.  In some cases these can be repaired by different methods.  Regrouting is your best option in a great many cases because it restores the integrity of the grout and strengthens the bond between tiles.

In every case, grout dis-coloration, staining or soiling issue can be solved by RE-GROUTING. Our re-grouts use the highest grade, high density, stain and soil resistant products on the market today. Thankfully, they don’t make grout like they used to and we are all thankful that they don’t.

This is recommended for use in showers and tub areas as well as floors.

Our re-grouting process is nearly “dust-free” and does not require special area protection. Worst-case scenario, during the grinding process, our regrouting will result in only a very light dusting of adjacent surface areas.

In rare cases where RE-GROUTING is not a good option  - GROUT RE-COLOURING is an excellent choice. This, like RE-GROUTING will restore your aged and discoloured grout back to a place where you no longer have to cringe every time you stare at and think about your tile floors.
